What matters on the bottle
Look for broad spectrum, SPF 30 or higher, and filters you already tolerate. Zinc oxide and titanium dioxide sit on the skin. A white cast is common on deeper skin tones, so the shade description matters more than a star rating copied from a store.
Use enough to cover the face and reapply when you are outside for long. Sunscreen does not treat acne, melasma, or any medical condition. If a product stings, peel, or rashes, stop and talk to a dermatologist.
